New Patient Scheduler - Appointment Setter
LifeWorks Wellness Center is seeking a compassionate, persistent, and highly organized New Patient Scheduler – Appointment Setter to support our New Patient Scheduling team. This role is critical in ensuring prospective patients who inquire about our services are promptly contacted, supported, and connected with the appropriate scheduler to begin their care journey.
This is a phone-focused position ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, excels at follow-up, and thrives in a fast-paced medical office environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Contact prospective patients via phone, text, and email who have requested information
- Must be able to communicate effectively by actively listening, acknowledging information or feedback received, and demonstrating clear understanding of appropriate responses and actions. Demonstrates persistence and follow-through in outbound communication.
- Verify and confirm patient contact information
- Transfer prospective patients to a New Patient Scheduler or schedule a callback when appropriate
- Educate prospective patients on available services, appointment types, and associated costs
- Maintain accurate documentation within the CRM system
- Communicate regularly with the Lead New Patient Scheduler and escalate concerns as needed
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to all professional, ethical, and regulatory standards
- Contribute to a supportive, patient-centered environment
- Strong phone presence with excellent listening and communication skills
- Demonstrated persistence, follow-through, and attention to detail
- Compassionate, patient-focused demeanor with the ability to support individuals who may be ill or distressed
- Highly organized, dependable, and able to multitask in a high-volume environment
- Ability to manage emotionally sensitive conversations with professionalism
- High school diploma or GED required
- Minimum of 2 years of phone-based experience
- At least 1 year of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting
- Typing speed of at least 40 WPM with intermediate computer proficiency
- Must speak, read, write, and type English fluently
- Superior verbal and written communication skills required
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to:
- Ability to sit, type, and speak on the phone for extended periods (up to 8 hours)
- Ability to climb stairs and move between buildings on campus
- Ability to work in a shared office environment
Hours:
• Full-time, minimum of 37.5 hours per week
• Monday through Friday
