Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Manager to provide hands-on clinical leadership and operational oversight within our outpatient clinic. This role is responsible for managing staff multiple clinical service areas, including higher-acuity and critical care environments, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care delivered in accordance with established protocols and clinical standards.


The Clinical Nurse Manager serves as a key liaison between clinical staff and leadership, and plays an integral role in patient safety, clinical excellence, staff development, and overall clinic performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee daily clinical operations across multiple service lines, including higher-acuity and critical care environments.
  • Provide direct leadership, supervision, and accountability for RNs and Medical Assistants.
  • Ensure patient care is delivered safely, consistently, and according to established protocols and regulatory standards.
  • Maintain a high standard of clinical excellence in fast-paced and complex patient care settings.
  • Serve as a clinical resource for staff, providing real-time guidance, escalation support, and clinical decision assistance.
  • Serve as both clinical leader and hands-on resource, stepping into patient care during peak demand or urgent clinical needs.
  • Address and resolve patient care concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Support onboarding, training, competency validation, and ongoing clinical development.
  • Assist with staff scheduling, coverage planning, and workflow optimization.
  • Monitor infection control, compliance, safety standards, and clinic cleanliness.
  • Oversee inventory management and ensure adequate clinical supply levels.
  • Review productivity, quality indicators, and performance metrics to support operational goals.
  • Promote a collaborative, accountable, and patient-centered team culture.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure compliance with all regulatory and organizational requirements.
  • Escalate clinical, staffing, or operational concerns to executive leadership as appropriate.
Qualifications:
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience.
  • Required: Emergency Room (ER) and/or Intensive Care Unit (ICU) experience.
  • Prior experience as a charge nurse, lead nurse, or clinical supervisor required.
  • Strong leadership, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-acuity clinical environment.
Education and/or Experience:
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
  • Minimum of 1 year of ICU and/or Emergency Room nursing experience required (candidates with both strongly preferred).
  • Experience in high-acuity, infusion-based, or specialty clinical settings preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience leading, mentoring, and developing clinical staff.
  • Patient-focused and compassionate approach to care delivery.
  • Strong proficiency with electronic health records (EHR), clinical documentation systems, and healthcare technology platforms.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology and complex clinical workflows.
  • Ability to remain calm, organized, and effective under pressure.
Language Skills:
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written) required.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, confidently, and professionally with patients, families, physicians, clinical staff, and executive leadership.
  • Ability to effectively present information, provide clinical direction, and respond to questions in both routine and high-pressure situations.
  • Strong written communication skills, including accurate clinical documentation, report preparation, and policy interpretation.

Physical Demands of Position:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be mobile throughout the clinic and between buildings as needed. Standing, lifting, walking, and sitting are required. Must be able to lift up to 30 pounds. Some clinic buildings are two stories, and most do not have elevator access; therefore, the employee must be able to climb stairs multiple times throughout the workday. There is an emotional demand associated with supporting patients who are ill and managing staff in a clinical environment.
